OKGN WMAN is designed to support Western Canada female entrepreneurs and investors.

Why become an investor?

Our partners are successful business women across the Okanagan who are working together to expand their investment portfolios with early stage start-up investment. They are also growing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Western Canada and supporting female entrepreneurs and diverse management teams. If this interests you, joining is by invitation and is extended to women who share our vision.

Our partners are knowledgeable about business and each brings a domain expertise. From 20 to 35 partners join each fund and each contributes $5,500. Everyone in the group benefits equally. There are no management fees or carried interest. All participants profit equally.

Partners participate based on the time they have available. You can be as involved as you want to be and have the bandwidth to be. You can even participate as a silent investor, investing alongside the rest of the group but not actively participating in the investment selection process. The process of investing in three to five companies takes place over one year and the limited partners meet approximately once per month. General partners manage the day-to-day operations of the Fund such as marketing, meeting organization, and administration and meet more regularly.
